What did you do this past week?

I mostly spent all my time debugging the project for OS. This project in this class is super huge compare to the projects in other courses. I also heard all the projects are hard. I better read the instructions as early as possible.

What’s in your way?

Zoom is distracting me all the time. It is hard for me to stare at the professor for one hour long. I need to overcome that. Otherwise, I would see the recording after each lecture is over.

What will you do next week?

I will do the review next week. Time goes so fast. It’s the fourth week of this semester. Most of my courses will have a midterm next week. I even dreamed about I was taking the exam.

If you read it, what did you think of the Pair Programming?

Pair Programming is great! More people can come up with more ideas than one person. We could share different points of view. However, we have to be responsible. Don’t do the project alone.

What was your experience of operators, pointers, and references? (this question will vary, week to week)

I did some operators, pointers, and references based projects on CS 429 by using C but not C++. I think they are quite similar. That helps me to understand what we are taught in the class better.

What made you happy this week?

This week is the Chinese Lunar New Year. All family members sit and eat together. We played Mahjong and firecrackers. I had a lot of fun because I won some money when I played Mahjong. I also received a lot of money from my parents and the elders.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Don’t start the project at the last minute. I start a project right after it was posted and turned it in 3 minutes before the deadline. I have a lot of things going on this week and most of them are unexpected. I was sick this week. I never thought that I could sleep for 14 hours. It just happened. So so the homework as early as possible.
